By creating an account on BBS Club, you agree to these terms. Please read them before registering.
Who can use BBS Club
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. BBS Club cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to keep your account secure.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@bbs.club.
You may not create accounts for the purpose of impersonating other people, organisations, or public figures.
What you can post
BBS Club is a community focused on retro technology, vintage computing, classic gaming, and related culture. We welcome discussion, debate, personal memories, questions, and creative content within those topics.
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant BBS Club a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content as part of the forum.
What you cannot post
The following content is not permitted on BBS Club:
- Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours
- Personal attacks, harassment, or targeted abuse of other members
- Hate speech, discrimination, or content that degrades people based on protected characteristics
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, or repetitive promotional content
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- Private or personal information about other individuals without their consent
- Content that is sexually explicit or graphically violent without appropriate warning
Moderation
BBS Club moderators have the authority to remove content, issue warnings, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the spirit of the community.
Moderation decisions are made by humans. If you believe a decision was made in error, you may appeal by contacting admin@bbs.club. We will review appeals in good faith.
Advertising and sponsored content
BBS Club may display advertising to support the costs of running the forum. Sponsored content, if any, will be clearly labelled as such.
Availability
We aim to keep BBS Club available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with notice where possible.
Limitation of liability
BBS Club is provided as-is. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the forum, the content posted by other users, or any interruption of service.
Changes to these terms
If we make significant changes to these terms, we will notify registered users by email and post a notice on the forum. Continued use of BBS Club after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BBS Club operates. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with those laws.
